Brian McKie(keeko): First bike was a club book piece of shit Muddy Fox that he wrecked at work doing an endo in a busy factory.Then got promoted to a fucking whopper of a Claud Butler that was welded all to fuck.It was about as straight as a banana and measured about a 25 inch frame.Progressed to an alloy Trek 7000 and went through all the lightning crap that was in at the time.Finally weighed in at 22lbs dead with 1.5 inch contis with holes drilled everywhere.Saracen steel hardtail came next, then a Zaskar LE.Now rides the daddy of all hardtails.......A tricked out Fat Chance Yo Eddy with King,ringle,Kooka,XTR, maguras,HOPE,White brothers XC forks.

David Bryson(peabo); He`s the man that started it all with his big Kona lava dome shopping bike with the seat 2 miles up in the fucking sky.Used to spend his entire wages on bike parts and had to have the latest gear.I remember he bought a huge Trek 8000 in yellow(the banana bike) and spent a fortune buying every anodised red bolt and nut he could.Now rides tricked out DeKerf hardtail......a class machine with full XTR and pace RC37 pro class forks,Hope discs,Ringle stem aND POST,xt/xtr MIX.Used to spend a lot of time in Carrick Cycles gassing to Graham(see below) about a load of unimportant technical shit.

Colin Boyd(beefer); Enthusiastic guy with balls like melons.Started like the rest of us with a second hand total shed, progressing through the second hand bike market(my old Trek)had a couple of big travel full suss bikes before returning to the fold with a totally sorted Rock Lobster Titanium dream machine,Hope hubs, Hope discs,XTR, Easton carbon,Z2s.That was after he snapped a Rockhopper and decided alloy was not strong enough.Been biking in the Swiss alps,Scottish mountains, Wales the fucking lot.Me and the beefer went under a low barrier with our bikes on the roof one day trying to be cool.CRASH!R.I.P. Trek 7000

Davy Beeton(bengal);Been with us through thick and thin.Started off in a Raleigh Scuzzbucket,then had a cracking Saracen then an Azonics alloy bulletproof hardtail.Now rides a phenomenal Fat Chance Bro Eddy with many spangly bits(King,Ringle,XTR etc,Rock Shox Sid SLs)Big Davy always good for a laugh.Ask him about a few of his high speed wipeouts.Head on into a fence stab????

Steven Kevan(Bubble);Again ,been biking for a while although left for a bit but has seen the light and returned.Rode an alloy Giant until he sampled titanium.Now a titanium hardtail rider with the best of kit.Whos round is it ??

Glen(my trailer is fine) Coulter;Big daft Glen.Tries like fuck and gives it his best shot but rides like a fucking big woman at times.A genuinely decent helpful big cunt we couldn`t do without.Rides a,wait for this,An Airborne Titanium Lucky Strike with Hope M4s,XTR and raceface finishing kit.Pyslo races do the springy bit.

Neil Gibson;BMX freak.Seriously talented bastard that rarely ventures out much now.Bought the first £100 plus stem(Azonic shorty that Jason Mcroy had in dirt).The first man to put a riser bar on a rigid bike back in `94 and the so-called experts with their 21 inch flats bars said it looked daft.Now has an original Specialized M2.WELL! Neils back to the fold.Going out this weekend 06/08/02

Peter Wallace(pizza) Well, what can i say?A game bastard if you ever met one, would try absolutely anything, Now rides full suss Giant(to work and back!) with mega money threw at it.Sadly rides with us no more.

Steven Hope(Hopey);Went through life getting handouts from his dad to buy shit hot kit that I worked my fanny off for.A decent bloke that now lives in a world of cars and clubbing.

Julie Mcrobert(snake);Our only female member that had, at the time one of the best bikes around.........a tricked out lightweight Cannondale.Injured her shoulder badly in a crash and has since wisened up.

Alan Hardy; Not been out for ages with us but still rides.Fit as a butchers dog and knows the score.He did the legendary New Luce run in the dark............ask any member what that was like.Minus fucking 15*C and mud and twigs frozen solid to out bikes.I think with the wind chill it was nearer minus fucking 40!.Water bottles like bricks!

Graham(Bike shop owner) We had to mention him because he was a constant source of amusement for us.Couldn`t ride a shovel but talked to punters in the shop like he was fucking Hans Rey.He rarely crashed because he rode like a fanny while wearing his Psyco Biker sweatshirt.One time on a night run he wiped out in the dark because no-one told him about a huge pothole.He came off and bust his knee,we could hear the screams in the blackness.Fuck how we laughed that night!


Neil Whorlow.......A cross over rally driver who decided that mountain biking would offer thrills but for not much cash.WRONG! Now rides a GT Zaskar with spangly bits and pieces.Upgrading every week.

Interesting incidents

The southern uplandway....its a long story about half done ( Portpatrick to just short of Moffat 110miles aprox)     

The 3 TENS..... kirroughtree forest...done..another long story but the short version is big davy ended up in hospital with broken ribs enough said really...!

Fort William MTB world cup, every year without fail.....all hail to the ale..Cool
